Come Prepared for a Better Lesson

Everything you need to feel prepared before your lesson. From what to bring to how to get ready, these simple essentials help every swimmer feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Before Your Lesson

Try to arrive a few minutes early so the swimmer has time to settle in. For children, it helps to keep the experience positive and calm before the lesson begins.

Avoid eating a heavy meal right before swimming. A light snack before the lesson is usually better.

Why it matters

Good gear makes a real difference, especially when you are learning. These are the goggles, caps, fins, and tools I trust with my own students. Everything here is chosen for comfort, durability, and value, not hype.

Please bring the following basic items needed for a safe and comfortable swim session:

  • Wear a comfortable swimsuit that allows easy movement in the water.

  • Bring a dry towel for after the lesson.

  • Goggles are helpful for comfort, especially for beginners learning to put their face in the water.

  • Swimming can be tiring, so staying hydrated is important.

  • For outdoor lessons, apply sunscreen before arriving.
